1. Information We Collect
When you create a TeraBridge account, we collect:
- Account information: email address, name, company name, and a hashed password.
- Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We never store credit card numbers.
- License usage data: machine identifiers (hardware hash), activation timestamps, and IP addresses used for license validation.
- Server logs: IP addresses, request timestamps, and user agents for security and debugging.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the TeraBridge service, including license validation and account management.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe.
- To send transactional emails (welcome, activation, payment, and expiry notifications).
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized license usage.
- To improve the service based on aggregate usage patterns.

Your data is stored on secured infrastructure with encrypted connections. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. License signing uses RSA-2048 keys. Database backups are encrypted with GPG before storage.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@terabridge.io. Account deletion will revoke all active licenses.
6. Data Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. After deletion, data is purged within 30 days, except where required by law or for fraud prevention.
7. Cookies
The TeraBridge portal uses only essential session cookies (JWT authentication). We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party advertising cookies.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By creating a TeraBridge account or using the TeraBridge software, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The Service
TeraBridge provides accelerated file transfer software licensed on a per-server basis. The software is self-hosted on your infrastructure. The portal at portal.terabridge.io provides account management, license activation, and billing.
3. Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address and accurate information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- One license key may only be used on the number of machines allowed by your tier.
4. Licensing
- Licenses are non-transferable unless explicitly authorized.
- Each license tier has defined limits (users, mounts, machines, bandwidth). Exceeding these limits requires an upgrade.
- License keys are bound to specific machine identifiers. Tampering with or circumventing the licensing system is prohibited.
- Enterprise licenses are perpetual with annual support renewal. All other licenses require an active subscription.
5. Payments & Refunds
- Subscription fees are billed monthly via Stripe.
- Failed payments enter a 7-day grace period before license suspension.
- Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase if no license has been activated.
- Enterprise purchases are non-refundable after license key delivery.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the TeraBridge software.
- Share, redistribute, or sublicense the software without authorization.
- Attempt to circumvent license validation, machine binding, or usage limits.
- Use the service for any illegal purpose.
7. Limitation of Liability
TeraBridge is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for data loss, transfer failures, or downtime beyond our control. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal. Upon cancellation, your license remains active until the end of the current billing period.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States.
